Heartsaver CPR & AED Courses

 

This course is for those who have a duty to respond to a cardiac emergency because of job responsibilities on an industrial safety team, daycare services, Boy or Girl Scout leader. The Heartsaver course teaches CPR and relief of choking in adults and children, and infants. It also goes over the use of barrier devices for all ages. This program can be taught in many different segments depending on the needs of the student. Those segments are Adult and Child CPR only. Infant CPR only or all three together. The other segment would be use of the AED (Automated External Defibrillator).

Length of class – approx. 2.5 to 3.0 hours – based on how many segments are taught

Heartsaver First Aid

 

This course is for those who have a duty to respond to a first aid emergency because of job responsibilities on an industrial safety team, Boy or Girl Scout leader, church or civic group. The Heartsaver First Aid teaches how to manage illness and injuries in the first few minutes until professional help arrives. The course content includes General Principles, Medical Emergencies, and Injury Emergencies. An optional segment would be Environmental Emergencies.

Length of class – approx. 2.5 to 3.0 hours – based on how many segments are taught

Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid

 

This course is for those who have a duty to respond to a first aid emergency and are involved in child care. This would be geared for child care workers, foster care for younger children, youth organizations dealing with younger children is sports or other activities. The Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid teaches how to manage illness and injuries in younger children. This course meets the regulatory requirements needed for certification in first aid for Child care.

Length of class – approx. 3.5 to 4.00 hours – based on how many segments are taught
